Custom holographic security labels
Custom holographic security labels carry a hologram or laser pattern exclusive to the customer and are used to authenticate the product by eye. A VOID layer, serial number, QR code and scratch-off layer can be added in a single label.
They are made to order on PET, BOPP or paper-based film, in the shape and size the customer specifies. The hologram provides a visual authenticity check and, with the VOID layer, evidence of opening.

What is a holographic security label?
It is a label with a hologram, an optical device whose visual effect changes with the lighting and the viewing angle. According to the EUIPO guide, it is used to authenticate products and needs no reader.
How does a holographic label make counterfeiting harder?
No label prevents it on its own. Checking a hologram requires knowing the original as a reference (EUIPO); that is why layers are combined, such as an exclusive design, VOID, a unique number, QR and a scratch-off layer, and the way of checking is defined.
Can my own hologram design be used?
Yes, with a master or pattern exclusive to the customer. The customer must demonstrate the rights to the design and the authorization for any trademarks included.
