RFID and NFC labels

Clothing rail with a hanging RFID tag, reference image

RFID and NFC labels are read without contact and are used for inventory, traceability and access control. This category covers UHF RFID labels and inlays and NFC labels, in paper, PET or versions for metal surfaces, made to the customer's specification: size, chip, face material, adhesive, printing and encoding.

Three types have their own page: tamper-evident NFC labels, UHF on-metal RFID tags and UHF RFID paper labels. All other formats, from windshield tags to laundry tags, are quoted on request and listed further down. Made or sourced to your specification, with the specification and data you provide; if you already have a drawing, an encoding file or a sample, attach it to your enquiry.

Typical sectors are logistics and e-commerce, fashion and textiles, retail and hospitality, automotive and machinery, and laboratory and cold chain (non-medical use). These are electronic products with their own regulatory notices (RED, RoHS, WEEE), set out on this page. Lead time and price are confirmed in the offer.

In short

What it is: UHF, NFC, on-metal and laundry tags, to the customer's specification.

What we need to quote: Use and application surface (paper, plastic, metal, textile, glass); Environment: temperature, humidity, outdoor, washing or chemicals; Quantity per order and, if known, annual quantity.

Which type fits your case

On-metal UHFMetal assets, tools, containers; adhesive, screw or rivet fixing.
Adhesive UHF paperCartons, pallets and non-metal assets; label format.
NFC tamper-evidentAuthentication and tamper-loop detection; NFC phone read.

Types and materials

Adhesive NFC label on a box lid being read with a smartphone

Tamper-evident NFC labels

NFC label with an anti-transfer structure and tamper-loop detection, which can carry the NTAG 424 DNA chip with a dynamic-signature URL. It comes with a serial and batch file and a verification page.

Other types on request

One line per format. For any of them, request a quote stating use, surface and quantity. Need another custom RFID or NFC format? Describe the use and environment and we will look into it.

  • Custom NFC tags (NTAG213/215/216) — Custom shape and four-colour printing, pre-written URL/NDEF, write protection, UID paired with the printed code, and variable data (QR, serial number).Request a quote
  • UHF RFID windshield tag — Fixed to the inside of the windshield so a reader can identify the vehicle at a distance: car parks, campuses, ports and toll points.Request a quote
  • Custom UHF RFID apparel hang tags — Hang tags printed with the brand's artwork in several languages and encoded with serialized EPCs (SGTIN derived from the GTIN), by season and style.Request a quote
  • UHF RFID PET labels (standard format) — PET face intended for environments with water, oil, salt water or solvents; accepts thermal-transfer printing.Request a quote
  • Custom UHF RFID PET labels — Face, adhesive, printing and encoding made to the customer's environment: outdoor, chemicals or washing.Request a quote
  • On-metal UHF RFID tags (standard format) — The antenna is isolated from the metal, so the tag can be read on metal assets.Request a quote
  • UHF RFID paper labels (standard format) — Passive EPC Gen2 / ISO/IEC 18000-63 labels with a printable paper face.Request a quote
  • UHF RFID tags for pallets, totes and containers — UHF tags fixed to plastic totes, pallets and containers (including waste bins) for tracking and cross-docking.Request a quote
  • UHF RFID container tags with RTI encoding — Pre-encoded based on VDA 5501 / ISO 17364 (identification of returnable transport items, RTI) and supplied with each batch of containers.Request a quote
  • UHF RFID laundry tags (standard format) — Sewn, heat-sealed or riveted onto workwear, sheets or towels, and intended for industrial washing, drying and ironing.Request a quote
  • Custom UHF RFID laundry tags — Sewn, heat-sealed or riveted format to suit the customer's textile, with pre-encoded EPC and printed number.Request a quote
  • Tamper-evident NFC labels (standard format) — Peeling it off damages the antenna (anti-transfer) or breaks a detection loop; with NTAG 213 TT, the chip records the opening event.Request a quote

How we work

  1. Enquiry: you send the use, surface, quantity and encoding data.
  2. Specification review and proposal of material and chip.
  3. Sample or trial: conditions are stated in the offer.
  4. Offer: lead time and price are confirmed in the offer.
  5. Production and direct shipment to the destination you indicate.

Electronic product: regulations to consider

RFID and NFC labels contain a chip and an antenna. The rules usually consulted include Directive 2014/53/EU (RED), Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) and Spain's Royal Decree 110/2015. Their scope for labels is open to different interpretations and the obligations depend on the final product; the customer assesses them with their own adviser.

This page does not state that any model carries CE marking or a RED declaration of conformity. Only the name and number of each rule are cited.

Frequently asked questions

What are RFID labels and what are they used for?

They are labels with a chip and an antenna that are read without contact. They are used in inventory, traceability and access control, and can be made of paper, PET or designed for metal surfaces.

NFC label or QR code: which to choose?

It depends on the use. A QR code is read with the phone camera; an NFC label is read by bringing the phone close and, with the NTAG 424 DNA chip, supports a URL with a dynamic signature validated on a server. They can also be combined on one label: chip plus printed QR code.

What is the difference between UHF RFID and NFC?

UHF RFID (EPC Gen2, ISO/IEC 18000-63; in the EU, the 865–868 MHz band) is used in inventory and logistics. NFC (13.56 MHz, ISO/IEC 14443-A) is read by bringing a phone close to the label. The choice depends on the use and the reader available.

Do you sell NFC or RFID labels to private individuals?

No. We only serve business orders (B2B), with design and specification defined for each customer.
