Tamper-evident NFC labels: anti-transfer and tamper-loop detection

Adhesive NFC label with an anti-transfer structure and tamper-loop detection: it is designed to stop reading once peeled off. The chip can be delivered pre-encoded with a dynamic-signature URL (NTAG 424 DNA), with serial numbers and batches in a data file, and it is completed by a verification page and a customer back office.

It is made to order: shape, brand printing, material and chip are defined with each customer. It provides a verifiable unique identifier and leaves evidence of opening, but it is not an absolute guarantee against counterfeiting. We only serve business orders.

Electronic product: regulations to consider

The label contains a chip and an antenna. The rules usually consulted include Directive 2014/53/EU (RED, with importer obligations in its Article 12), Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) and Spain's Royal Decree 110/2015 (WEEE producer register). This page does not state that any model carries CE marking or a RED declaration of conformity. Only the name and number of each rule are cited; applying them and the legal responsibility rest with the customer. The legal content of the label is defined by the customer; we reproduce the artwork the customer has approved and signed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between anti-transfer and tamper-loop detection?

With the anti-transfer structure, peeling the label off damages the antenna and the label can no longer be read. With tamper-loop detection, the breaking of a loop is detected and the chip can record the opening (TT variants). The right type depends on the substrate and is decided with the customer, who can ask for samples to test it.

What does the NTAG 424 DNA chip add?

It allows a URL with a dynamic signature to be pre-encoded and checked on a server when the label is read, together with the serial number and batch. If you do not need a dynamic signature, NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are also available.

Does it prevent the product from being counterfeited?

No. The label provides a verifiable unique identifier and leaves evidence of opening, but there is no absolute guarantee and we give no effectiveness percentages.
