Unique-code labels identify each unit with a serial number, a QR or DataMatrix code and, if desired, a scratch-off layer that hides a PIN. The code makes it possible to check the authenticity of the product or open its digital record online.
This category includes scratch-off labels with a unique code, QR labels with online verification, labels with variable QR or DataMatrix codes and sequential numbering, and data-carrier labels for the digital product passport (DPP). GS1 Digital Link labels can also be quoted.
A QR code does not protect against copying by itself. According to the EUIPO anti-counterfeiting technology guide, it can be combined with holograms or unique identifiers and needs a platform to manage the codes and the data of each scan. If the verification page records data such as the IP address or location, people must be informed, as the GDPR requires.
We serve business customers only. Datasheets, test reports and samples are available on request, and lead time and price are confirmed in the offer.

Types and materials
These are the types with their own page. Open each one for materials, options and the data needed for a quote.
A unique PIN stays hidden under a silver or grey coating that is scratched off to verify the product on a website; this way the code cannot be read early. They are printed on PET or paper and can add a holographic layer or a fragile base.

Read moreEach label carries a different QR or DataMatrix code and a sequential number, printed by thermal transfer or digital variable-data printing. VOID, scratch-off or holographic layers, weather-resistant materials and code-quality grading can be added.

No page of their own: request a quote stating the use and quantity.
- GS1 Digital Link labels (GS1 standard QR) — The QR holds a GS1 Digital Link URI (GTIN and, optionally, batch, serial number or expiry date) and can be read by both phones and retail POS; also made to order, from the customer's GTINs and serials.Request a quote
- DPP data-carrier labels, standard version — Links the unique product identifier (ISO/IEC 15459 series) to its digital passport through QR, NFC or RFID.Request a quote
Other custom labels with numbering or variable codes can also be quoted: describe your case in the enquiry.

Frequently asked questions
What is a digital product passport?
It is a product's information made available in digital form through a data carrier with a unique identifier. Its general framework is Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 (ESPR), which defines the data carrier as a linear barcode, a two-dimensional symbol or another automatic identification medium readable by a device. The requirements for each product group depend on sector-specific legislation.
How can a product's authenticity be verified with a QR code?
Each label carries a unique code that, when scanned, opens a verification page. According to the EUIPO, the platform can record the scans and analysing them helps detect counterfeiting, but a QR alone does not protect against copying: it is best combined with holograms or unique identifiers.
What is GS1 Digital Link?
It is the GS1 standard that encodes in a QR a URI with the GTIN and, optionally, the batch, serial number or expiry date. The same QR can be read by phones and by retail POS.
How does a scratch-off label with a unique code work?
The unique PIN stays hidden under a scratch-off coating; whoever receives the product scratches it off and checks the code on a website. The coating stops the code being read early.
Does the GDPR affect online verification?
Yes, if the page records data such as the IP address or location: people must be informed under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Who acts as controller and how long the data are kept is defined in each project.
